MCM GPRS is a universal meter valve controller module with major features of prepayment and GPRS Communication. A battery powered electronic circuit inside the MCM controls the valve, reads RFID smart cards and makes GSM/GPRS connec- tion. MCM GPRS gets consumption and fluid direction values directly from the connected meter and saves in its initial memory in real time. Credit loading and metering based parameter set operations can be done easily by both smart card and GPRS connection. Critical information such as consumption value, battery charge level, serial number and meter status infromation are transmitted to a head end meter management software periodically with the GPRS connection. As a default, MCM GPRS makes twice GPRS connection in a day. Connection period is parametric and it can be set to 0-24. Moreover, it is possible to make a GPRS connection manually from the module menu.
